Baby Shower 2025
Sunday 10/19/25 our Baby Shower will be opened up to the
St. Joseph Parish Family. Anyone can drop off Baby items at
Travis Hall before of after Masses.
Monday 10/20/25 during our regular monthly meeting, will be our
Bundles of Love Baby Shower with guest speaker from the Life Center. Donations will be accepted of all new baby items, baby blankets, hats, diapers sizes 0-6, Baby Toiletries (soap, wipes, shampoo, lotion & creams, bottles, diaper bags & bathtubs. We will be accepting monetary donations for pack n plays & car seats.
All donations will go to the Life Center in Smithtown & Deer Park.

3rd Annual Box of Joy Collection
Box of Joy ® gifts are Christmas gifts sent to children in developing countries like Haiti, Malawi and the Dominican Republic. Filled with toys, clothing, school supplies Your donation will demonstrate Christ’s compassion to a child who may have never before received a Christmas gift.
There are 3 age groups for Girls & Boys 2-4, 5-9 & 10-14.
Our goal is to fill 75 shoe boxes with small toys, games, notebooks, pens, pencils etc. There will be a collection box in the parish center. We will also, be collecting at our September & October Meetings.

The Thank You Project
We have been asked by our State Board to take part in the The Thank You Project by writing a thank you card or letter to our Troops.
As part of this project, they are asking all of you to please write a thank you card at bring the October Meeting. What a wonderful and easy way for us and our loved ones to show those away from home fighting for our freedom, just how much we appreciate them. Here are some ideas that might be helpful:
•Be positive and upbeat
• Be thankful
• Share a little info about yourself, like hobbies, pet, etc.
• Talk about things happening around home, like weather, sports, etc.
• a great way to start a letter is "Dear Service Member" or "Dear Friend"
• Kids drawings are great! Just don't use any glitter or crafting materials, and DON’T PUT IN ENVELOPE. Every CDA court in NY is being asked to participate. Please help make this new NY State Project a success. I believe Court Ave Maria will help make this project a "huge" success. That's just what we do!

Junior Catholic Daughters
This is an organization of Catholic girls ages 8-18 who gather together monthly to grow in faith and enrich the lives of their families, parish and communities through acts of kindness and service. We invite all young girls to be part of the fun and make lifelong friendships. Information flyers will be available in the church and in the parish center.
